Help with MPC, PTN and JPG (1 reply)

As I understand it MPC are what I can use with the machine. What are PTN's? I can look/modify and size these on the carvewright program, but when I go to upload them to the card for carving it's a no go. Is there a way to convert them to MPC like a program that does it, like BMP to JPG.

Also how do I take a picture JPG and make it into a carveable pattern? I am starting up a new woodworking business as I had to close my "MR. FIX - IT" (home/business repair) after 20 years because of the state of ecomany and the local news paper raising their advertising costs way to high. Furniture building and speciality stuff can be sold world wide via shipping, plus wood working is my 1st love greater satisfaction. So I would love to be able to take a photo of a child or family member and carve it out in wood. Any help that you members here can give me would be emencialy appreated.

Current version of software 1.152 is pushing the size limits for mpc's up to a meg and a half. Problem is they are exceeding the forum limits here as well as the other site.
I made a ptn of the Aztec calendar using a royalty free .eps file from the web, which allowed me to create a high res image to import in the pattern editor. Think is the .ptn is 2.75MB! How can I share it? It is too beautiful just to keep it for myself. It should carve great on a 14" by 14" board. I may carve it this coming weekend.
